This strategic partnership leverages existing technologies and core competencies developed over time by the two teams. We are also engaged in research and development projects targeting unique solutions to new and challenging applications.

VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. -  association of German Mechanical Engineering and Plant Construction) is one of the most important service providers, offering the biggest network of branches of the capital good industry in Europe. VDMA represents 3,000 mainly small- and medium-sized member businesses of the capital goods industry; thus it is one of the most important industrial associations in Europe.

 

With nearly 128,000 personal members, VDI (Verband deutscher Ingenieure – Association of German Engineers) today is the most important technical-scientific association in Germany and leading on international level. Its enormous technical knowledge distributed in most different branches and cross-branch fields as well in the promotion of engineers is generated from the network of its members and co-operation partners and from co-operation with economy and science. This knowledge is made available to these target groups and other interested parties in the form of advisory services, leaflets, seminars, conferences, VDI guidelines, trade fairs etc.

 

 Deutschen Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V. (DWA) (Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V.  – German Association for Water Management, Waste Water and Solid Waste) is a professional technical-scientific association. Politically and economically independent, DWA promotes research and development. Municipalities, universities, consulting engineers, public authorities, businesses as well as experts and executives from these institutions belong to its nearly 14,000 members. DWA promotes sustainable water management, offers a platform for ideas and experience exchange and supports politics through advisory services.

 

On 2 February 2006, SACHEN MACHEN  (Doing things) started as first nation-wide initiative for promotion and strengthening of the Technology Location Germany. In many branches, such as optical, microsystem or energy technologies, Germany already today is leading on the world market and, moreover, is export world champion. However, during the last years, some branches in the country have lost ground in international competition. Aim of the initiative is to make Germany again the world-wide leading technology location up to 2015.
